Testing & Maintenance Industrial Electronics (VFD’s and PLC’s)
|
Maintenance of equipment is a protection against personal injury, equipment loss and production losses. It is the intent of electrical testing and maintenance to identify and correct potential or existing problems.
We have several customers who had little or no maintenance program for their main electrical equipment. Only after a catastrophic failure and substantial financial loss did the issue of "maintenance" get raised. Powertronic, Inc. hopes to work with your company before a serious situation occurs at your facility. Testing and maintenance of your electrical equipment is an integral part of an effective electrical preventative maintenance program. This service includes routine inspections, electrical testing and servicing of the electrical equipment.
Electrical testing and maintenance should routinely be performed on switchgear, switchboards, power transformers, bus duct, circuit breakers, variable speed drives, transfer systems, etc. Electrical equipment today is manufactured for long life when operated under specific operating conditions. Variations to these conditions can include adverse weather, high temperatures and overloading of the equipment. These conditions can limit the useful life of the electrical equipment.
Routine electrical testing includes, high potential, insulation resistance (Megger), contact resistance, transformer turns ratio, and injection testing for circuit breakers. Mechanical checks include verification of bus and cable connections, operation of mechanical components and cleaning of the equipment. Contact Powertronic, Inc for assistance with your Electrical Testing and Maintenance needs
